- Tomb inscription reads as follows:- In memory of Margaret The wife of Henry Waterland Mander Of Lincolns Inn and 38 Ladbrooke Square And eldest daughter of C Cookney Died 17th Dec 1865 aged 67 The above named Henry Waterland Mander Died 25th August 1869 1 Henry Waterland Mander was born in Bakewell, Derbyshire in 1786, the son of James Mander a local solicitor. He moved to London and qualified as a barrister and then in 1818 married Margaret Cookney born in Holborn London in 1796 she was the daughter of Charles Cookney a very well connected London lawyer. They were Charles John Mander of C J Mander & sons of Lincoln Inn (see the find a grave website on Putney vale Cemetery): Merrial Julia Remnant mother of the first Lord Remnant Colonel Alfred Thomas Mander (India Army) Major General Frederick Day Mander described as the father of the Indian Army, interred at Brookewood cemetery

- Photographs courtesy of Bryan Cooper and Allan Jacklin Underneath lie interred the remains of JOHN MANDER, of Bakewell Gent Descendent from an ancient and respectable family Of that name at Todnam in Gloucestershire He died 31st Dec 1786 Age 70 year Also of Anne his wife One of the daughters of Samuel Eccles By whom he had issues seven sons and four daughters And died 15TH APRIL 1820 aged 75 years Also the above named Merrial his wife And was interred next to the remains of her husband Eccles Mander their youngest son Died 14TH March 1822, age 25 years And was buried at the Parish Church of Islington near London also underneath are interred the remains of Francis Mander, one of their daughters Who died 19TH 1839 age 39 years In the church yard adjoining Are interred the remains of John Mander, their second son Who died 6TH OF March 1876, age 89 years Thomas Mander their fourth son who erected this Monument And died 19TH October 1876 age 89 years Also Mary Merrial and Anne Mander Daughters of the above named James and Merrial Mander Of Tideswell in that County Gent by whom he had issue four sons and six daughters She died 14TH Nov. 1792 Age 72 years. Also underneath are interred the remains of James Mander of Bakewell Gent the youngest Of four sons of the said John Mander He married Merrial one of the daughters of William Greene of the City of York M. D.
In memory of Mary the eldest daughter of James and Merrial Mander Who lie buried in the chancel of this of this church She died August 4th 1880 aged 86 years also of Merrial their second daughter Who died Februarys 6th 1884 aged 89 years And Anne their third daughter who died November 3rd 1881 aged 83 years And are buried in the adjoining church yard
Next to the Roman Monument/sarcophagi at the front of the Church the Mander grave stone can been see on the rightt The remaining children of James & Merrial Mander are William Mander who died in 1867 at Lichfield Staffordshire and Nicholas Mander who died in 1846 at Clifton Nr. Ashborne, Derbyshire
